About this model
The Gulf-backed Porsche 917K #14 was one of the leading contenders at the 1970 12 Hours of Sebring, the second round of the World Sportscar Championship. Driven by Jo Siffert, Brian Redman and Leo Kinnunen, the short-tail Porsche represented the latest evolution of Porsche's fearsome 4.5-litre flat-12 prototype. The trio showed impressive pace throughout the event and remained among the front-running cars during the early stages of the race. Mechanical problems ultimately ended their challenge, preventing a potential podium finish for the Gulf team.
